When I first started taking photographs of children I was in desperate need of advice and was looking for a resource to steer me in the right direction.
Generally every type of photography requires you to have a knowledge of your camera and lighting. When shooting kids the technical aspect is highly important but is often is secondary. You can have your most perfect setting, the most beautiful lighting, stunning wardrobe and wonderful props but at the moment when you are ready to take that capture the child can burst into tears and run to her Mommy.
